SignaLuna etches itself into history with SignaLuna 1, the first NFT to make contact with the lunar surface and return to Earth, breaking Web3 out of the blockchain and into actual space. SignaLuna 1 is a joint mission by the Moonizen Studios, The Atrium, and The Deep Space Exploration Society to integrate radio astronomy, ham radio, and Web3 technologies to bounce a timepiece NFT off the Moon and record its permanence on Bitcoin. The mission aims to convert a digital asset into an electromagnetic wave, send this wave to the Moon using a high-powered radio telescope at the speed of light, and receive the return signal through licensed ham radio operators from around the world. The return signal is then decoded from the radio frequency wave back into a digital image and inscribed onto Bitcoin, signifying humanity's message to the heavens: WE REMAIN.
