EdgeFold is a long-form generative art collection, made entirely with code. Inspired by the Bauhaus textile weaving patterns. These were known for using bold shapes, repeated patterns, and strong colors to create a sense of balance. There is rhythm, movement, and freedom. In this collection, that same idea is explored through a different medium. There are many different textures laid on top of the composition, including watercolor textures that add softness and depth. The colors in this collection are vibrant and carefully chosen. Each palette is handpicked to interact thoughtfully with the underlying structure. The goal was to let the colors guide the energy of the piece. There is also a strong focus on shape. The layering of so many different shapes creates a sense of rhythm, like a language built from repetition and variation. It’s in this careful balance of shapes that the overall composition finds its structure.
