Exposed, 2112 draws inspiration from the Borg of Star Trek—a hive-like entity that assimilates all individuality into a shared consciousness. In this series, I photographed my family’s eyes, combining them into a single iris and feeding the result into AI. The AI, like the Borg, reinterpreted what it was given and returned something not quite human, but not fully machine. The final works explore identity, memory, and what’s lost when everything begins to look the same in the age of social media and AI. Is resistance futile? Or is this simply the next evolution of existence?
