This collection is an exact reproduction of the 1981 A.P.I (Artist Proof 1) set of etchings/monotypes by Michael Hafftka. The set was created in an edition of 26 plus 4 artist’s proof, one bon à tirer and one state proof. This set, API, is in the British Museum. Set No. 18 is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, NY. Each set contains an etched title page, 10 etchings and an etched colophon page. The physical sets are boxed in a custom binding box designed by the artist. The artist chose to wipe each plate a little differently which resulted in some variations among the sets.
